Our Nursery

As you've noticed, my blog is disgustingly pink.  I'm having a girl...girls = pink.  I have a problem though.  I don't like pink that much which was very apparent when Russ and I registered at Babies R Us the other night.  I also realized a couple of things:

1~ My favorite color really is blue.

2~ The colors I picked out for my nursery (check out Paxton's tie!) before I got pregnant aren't going to work.  None of the other baby stuff matches.  They look pretty terrible together, actually.

So, here are my new color ideas:

Light Blue and White w/a touch of Baby Girl Pink

My walls are cream ~ We can't paint them :( ~  and our furniture will be white.  I don't want a theme. ie: bears, butterflies, Disney...

I love the feel of this nursery (with more color).
I'm thinking about making this, this, and this

So, what do you think?  I can't wait to get started!

  1. I like the light blue, yellow and sage room. I also love the nursery that was beige and the pink stripe bedding. I don't think you need to paint a nursery all in pink. I don't think it will be a problem to use some other colors.

  2. I love the bedding you found in the light blue, yellow and sage. I think turquoise and pink could be fun too. Both very different feels to them. If you liked the feel of that nursery you posted I would say go with the light blue, yellow and sage. Looks like a ton of fun! I loved decorating my nursery.

  3. I love the bedding you picked out! So pretty! I agree with the others, if you don't ilk pink, you certainly don;t have to use it just because she's a girl. Savanna had no pink in her first nursery! It was all yellow, green and blue with a touch of purple. I'm sure little Keladry will love whatever you pick out!
