Kel is 1!

It happened.  I blinked and Kel turned 1. 

She took her first steps.

She stands all by herself.

She points at things and says "dat".

She loves climbing things.

She blows kisses.

She gives high-fives.

I think her eyes are hazel.  

Russ thinks they are brown.

She still loves the water.

She loved watching the seals at the zoo.

She loved spending 5 days with her Kimball cousins.

She smashed her first cake.

She ate her first peanut butter sandwich.

She loves to be outside.  We can't wait for summer!

She's starting to throw little temper tantrums. 

She has 3 teeth on top and 4 on the bottom.
She love to play with friends her own age.
She has the best giggle!

I love my little toddler.  It amazes me how she learns something new everyday.
We are so incredibly blessed to have her here.  I can't imagine what life would be like without her.
 

11 Months

She finally said 'Mama'!

Her best word is 'Hi'.

She is starting to stand without help.

She can play Pat-a-cake all by herself.

She laughs when she hears people laughing...coughs, sneezes, claps, ect.

She laughs at Daddy when he reads her "Fox in Socks".

She still takes 2 naps a day.

She fell out of her high chair.  :(

She went to St. George for the first time and really enjoyed playing on the grass.

I think her intolerance to bananas and avocados is gone. (Yay!)

She loves plugs.

She still puts everything in her mouth, but at least she takes it out now if it isn't food.

Her favorite food is still Salmon.

She likes rice, but only if it's flavored with a yummy sauce.

She can get a spoon from the bowl to her mouth...It usually doesn't have food in it, but it's a start.

She is still a charmer!    

 

I have a feeling I will blink and she'll be 1! 

 

10 Months

She's waving

She STILL hasn't said Mama, but she jabbers a lot.

She's had a little bit of separation anxiety.

She loves to play with other kids.

She doesn't want to eat her baby food anymore.

She fell all the way down the stairs.  (My fault for not making sure the gate was closed.)

She only cried for about 30 seconds when she fell all the way down the stairs.

She loves to throw things and has a pretty good arm.

She has figured out some of her more advanced toys.
She loves to pull things down and out. 
(Folded clothes out of drawers, books off of bookshelves.)
She has 2 new teeth on the bottom.
She went swimming twice and LOVED it.

(We took her 10 month pictures, but they won't be posted here because I'm not paying!)



9 months

9 month stats:

15 lbs 6th%

27 inches 35th%

 

She cruises around the furniture.

She can go from crawling to sitting up all by herself.

She loves to play peek-a-boo. 

She loves-loves-loves bathtime.

She has 2 bottom teeth.

She had her first ear infection.

She got totally spoiled for her first Christmas.

She finally sleeping through the whole night. (No more night time bottles-yay!)

She says Hi, Dad, Yeah, and Yay.  Still working on Mama.

She still won't hold still for even a minute, which makes things like trimming nails, getting dressed, and changing diapers incredibly difficult.

Still smiles, laughs, and giggles all the time.  Even when she is sick!

She love Sesame Street.

She loves books.

She loves to eat what mom and dad eat.

She is very good at sharing.  When I go in to her room in the morning, she will pull her binky out of her mouth and try to put it in mine.

She loves to drop things just to make mom and dad pick them up...over and over.

She gives big sloppy kisses.

 

She's definitely my little angel.  Her 9 month appointment with Dr. Dave was great.  He said she is happy, healthy, and right on track.  He also loves how animated she is - "She's like a little cartoon!"

 

Kel amazes me everyday.  I still can't believe some of the things she can do.  Yesterday morning, Russ went into get her our of her crib she looked at him and said "Hi dad!"  I think it may have melted his heart, just a little bit.

8 Months

I wrote this post a month ago but never posted it because I never took her 8 month picture. :( I can't believe how fast December just flew by!

She is crawling on all fours.

She can pull herself up to standing.

She likes to eat "real" food.

She got her first tooth. (Bottom right)

She learned to clap.

She loves blowing raspberries.

She still won't say mama.

She is starting to wave.

She saw her first snow.

She dances to music.

She enjoyed her first Thanksgiving 

and got to eat turkey, yams, and mashed potatoes.

7 Months

Her favorite word is dada.
She loves blowing raspberries.

She can rock on her hands and knees.

She has the commando crawl down.

She can sit up. (Not for long, though. This girl wants to move!)

She eats lots of yummy foods and loves them all.

Her new favorite food is grapes.

She is allergic/intolerant to bananas and avocados. (We think)

She will not stay under her covers at night.

She has a smile for everyone. Even Zombies!

Her feet are very ticklish.

She loves to crawl under things.

She went to the zoo and loved looking at all the animals.
Her eyes are still Hazel-grey.

She takes 2 big naps at 10:30 and 2:30.

She goes to bed around 8:30 and wakes up at 8:30.

She is very, very, very, very, very wiggly.

She met her new baby cousin and looked so big next to her.

She is going to be a princess for Halloween.
